KING TUT shoe premiere

Join us as fashion meets history.In the midst of Atlanta welcoming the King Tut Exhibit, we will premier 2 classic sneakers inspired by this phenomenal exhibit.

King Tut exhibit heads to Atlanta, Laced Up boutique puts their best foot forward.Atlanta, Ga (PR Web) November - "Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs," presented by the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Emory University will run from November 15, 2008 to May 22, 2009, at the Atlanta Civic Center. Laced Up Sneaker boutique has partnered with J SHOES, to produce the official "TUT" shoe to be on display for millions to see. With only 36 pairs of the classic Sorrento (women's gladiator) and the Starr (men's sneaker) in metallic gold leather, the coveted shoe has already built up quite a waiting list.

The shoe will be revealed in the "Fashions of Tut" media mixer at Straits restaurant on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 and will go on display for the opening of the exhibit on November 15, 208. Laced Up will be the only store in the nation to exclusively carry the "TUT" J SHOES series. The Sorrento for women is best described as gladiator style goes glam with a hybrid style sandal. It features a soft leather upper in a casual Roman inspired sandal boot style with a round open toe and a strappy leather toe thong post wraps over a wide leather vamp. To compliment the Sorrento, Laced Up will also carry the men's Starr in the matching metallic gold. The Starr J SHOES Starr hightop features smooth leather upper in a classic basketball sneaker style, full lace up front with doubled joined ankle straps and adjustable Velcro closures.
On Tuesday, November 11th, invited guests will be privy to see shoes fit only for royalty. Atlanta's premier diamond jeweler, Prriya and Chintans" will jewel the "TUT" version shoes in thousands of dollars worth of Egyptian inspired jewels for the 'Fashion of Tut" affair.
